The State Geocadastre held a meeting of the Project Steering Committee together with the Japan Agency for International Cooperation
This week, a meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the project "Creating a National Geospatial Data Infrastructure in Ukraine" was held, in which a prototype of the NIGD was piloted in the pilot territory. The event was attended by the leadership of the State Geocadastre, the Permanent Representative of the JICA Agency in Ukraine, Japanese experts, specialists of the State Enterprise Center of the State Control Committee, NDIGK and the National Academy of Sciences.
“We consider the NIGD prototype project useful for Ukraine and highly appreciate the efforts of the Ukrainian side in its implementation. In addition, we are pleased to hear about significant progress in the legislative support of NIGD in Ukraine, ”said Mr. Takaki Kawano, Permanent Representative of JICA in Ukraine, noting the adoption by the Government of the bill on the National Geospatial Data Infrastructure developed by the State Geocadastre.

The project "Creation of National Geospatial Data Infrastructure" has been underway since September 2015. The aim of the project is to create a prototype of the NIGD system in the pilot territory in Vinnytsia region in accordance with the best international practices and the INSPIRE Directive. The beneficiary of the project is the State Geocadastre.
